Grand Velo Tours

Here at Grand Velo Tours we are first and foremost cyclists, family and friends who have an appetite for adventure. Organising this great ride came about by trying to seek the ultimate Grand Tour. Having ridden many endurance stage events over a 10-year period including full Tour de France routes as well as international stage races, we decided to put our experience to good use and eliminate the strain and stress that we encountered by creating this extremely beautiful yet challenging trip. Our route, inspired by the spirit of Eddy Merckx and the great 1972 tour would allow riders to not only experience the ride of a lifetime but enable them to finish each day with both the physical and mental capacity to enjoy this demanding journey whilst building new friendships. As organisers, we felt that the best way for riders to accomplish what appears to be an insurmountable task would be to take that journey ourselves, use that experience and share our love of riding to others. It’s safe to say we have turned every pedal stroke of this great adventure and cannot wait for you to do the same. See you on the mountains.
